Dear SIG Colleague,<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The deadline for applications to join an ILTS SIG Steering Committee has been extended to May 31 \u2013\u00a0Apply NOW!<\/a><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

SIG members can apply for regular membership and for the role of Topic Coordinator in the SIG Steering Committees (SC). Both regular members and topic coordinators serve for three years.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Current SC members wishing to continue can also apply, but no more than three can be renewed. Renewal will be based on exceptional contributions to the SIG\u2019s educational aims and will be limited to a term of two years.<\/p>\n

The two current Topic Coordinators will also be replaced but\u00a0may serve as regular committee members for three more years. Any SIG member can apply for a Topic Coordinator role but must appreciate that this involves high expectations from ILTS Council and a very significant workload over the three-year term.<\/p>\n

The SIG\u2019s that are currently seeking new Steering Committee Members and Topic Coordinators are:<\/p>\n

– Cardiovascular Topics in Liver Transplantation<\/p>\n

– DCD, Preservation & Machine Perfusion<\/p>\n

– Infectious Diseases and Liver Transplantation<\/p>\n

– Liver Transplant Immunology<\/p>\n

– Liver Transplant Oncology<\/p>\n

– Living Donor Liver Transplantation<\/p>\n

–\u00a0Precision Medicine and Biomarkers in Liver Transplantation<\/p>\n

The succession process will recognize and balance a number of factors. These include each candidate\u2019s motivation and capacity to contribute, continuity in committee functions, fair representation of the membership, and EDI principles. The President-elect and designated SIG Council Member, who represent and are accountable to ILTS Council, have overall responsibility for final committee selections.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
