The proposal must include a short video of maximum five minutes long illustrating a suggested business improvement strategy and its future effects within their center. In addition, applicants are required to provide a maximum two pages project description (background, significance, specific aim(s), expected result.) The proposal must consider financial or quality objectives as primary (eg, LOS reduction, readmission reduction, cost reductions, among others).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Examples include, but are not limited to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol type=\"1\" start=\"1\">\n<li>Strategies to reduce length of hospital stay and implement early discharge following liver transplantation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Improvement of outpatient care and reduction of readmission<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Decrease of a specific post-operative complication by modifying care<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enhanced outcome monitoring by automated data capturing<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Develop digital outpatient monitoring early post-transplantation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>AI as a tool to improve patient monitoring<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Others<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>All ILTS members are encouraged to submit. Preference will be given to early- and mid-career members.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Video Format:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>English language, subtitles are encouraged<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>High-quality resolution (&gt;=640\u00d7360; Bps (bit per second) &gt;=800kbps)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Format: mp4, flv, f4v,webm<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Max five minutes in length<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Display:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Videos will be displayed at a video booth at the <a href=\"https:\/\/old.ilts.org\/events\/the-2024-annual-congress-of-ilts\/\">ILTS 2024 Congress<\/a> in Houston and will be hosted on the ILTS&nbsp;website for future viewing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Assessment:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Three finalists will present their business improvement pitch in a five-minute presentation at the ILTS Annual Meeting in a Dragons\u2019 Den\/Shark Tank format.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Prizes:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Members from the Business Practice Committee are generously supporting this initiative. There will be awards for the top three video submissions:<br>1st prize:&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 12,000 USD<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2nd prize:&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp; 8,000 USD<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3rd prize:&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp; 5,000 USD<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The winning teams will be required to submit a progress report 12 months after award allocation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to apply?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Please use the <a href=\"https:\/\/wetransfer.com\/\">WeTransfer<\/a> platform and share your video with <a href=\"mailto:ilts@ilts.org\">ilts@ilts.org<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><s>Deadline for submission is April 8th, 2024.<\/s> The deadline for submission has been extended to April 15th, 2024.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The ILTS Business Practice Committee invites ILTS members to submit a proposal to improve quality or reduce cost in liver transplantation.
