ILTS Mission Statement:<\/h4>\n

To promote and disseminate multidisciplinary scientific advances in liver transplantation worldwide.<\/p>\n

Purpose:<\/h4>\n

This policy establishes criteria for evaluating requests for endorsement or sponsorship (financial support) of non-ILTS meetings.<\/p>\n

\n

Who can submit proposal:<\/h4>\n

Current ILTS members and\/or societies who have an interest in liver transplantation.<\/p>\n

\n

Definitions and Requirements:<\/h4>\n

<\/div><\/p><\/div>\n

ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY \u2013 meeting notice & link on ILTS media (website, newsletter, social) without formal program review or monetary support<\/b><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Applies to meetings not viewed as competing with ILTS activities but potentially of interest to ILTS members, i.e. announcement is a service to ILTS members and liver transplant community<\/li>\n
  2. Simplified application process: meeting name, location, dates, sponsoring society, intro text, link to meeting website, program chair contact name and email, PCO contact name and email<\/li>\n
  3. Initial review and recommendation by ILTS Secretary, to be approved by Executive Committee<\/li>\n
  4. Program quality may be judged on basis of previous meetings and\/or reputations of societies\/individuals involved<\/li>\n
  5. Announcement in ILTS.org Meetings page and\/or in ILTS newsletter: prominence and frequency at discretion of Secretary or Website Administrator<\/li>\n
  6. No formal requirement for reciprocal promotion<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    <\/div><\/p><\/div>\n

    ENDORSEMENT \u2013 ILTS approval and affiliation without monetary support<\/b><\/p>\n

      \n
    1. Request must be received at least 6 months prior to the program dates.<\/li>\n
    2. Request to include completed application and program.<\/li>\n
    3. ILTS Education Committee and Council will have the ability to review the plan for publications resulting from the meeting (proceedings, supplement, consensus document, etc.).<\/li>\n
    4. ILTS logo to appear on requestor\u2019s meeting material and website.<\/li>\n
    5. ILTS will post endorsed meeting on ILTS website.<\/li>\n
    6. Email announcement to ILTS members of an ILTS endorsed program will be reviewed on a case by case basis<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      <\/div><\/p><\/div>\n

      SPONSORSHIP – Monetary sponsorship requested from ILTS<\/b><\/p>\n

        \n
      1. Request must be received at least 8 months prior to the program dates.<\/li>\n
      2. Request to include completed application and program.<\/li>\n
      3. ILTS will have the ability to make recommendations to the program agenda.<\/li>\n
      4. ILTS Education Committee and Council will have the ability to review and make recommendations to the plan for publications resulting from the meeting (proceedings, supplement, consensus document, etc.).<\/li>\n
      5. At least one speaker must be a current ILTS member.<\/li>\n
      6. ILTS logo to appear on requestor\u2019s meeting material and website.<\/li>\n
      7. ILTS will post sponsored meeting on ILTS website.<\/li>\n
      8. ILTS will promote the meeting through ILTS membership email announcements.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        <\/div><\/p><\/div>\n

        Approval Process for Endorsed or Sponsored Programs\/Meetings<\/strong><\/p>\n

          \n
        1. Request form completed with preliminary program and budget included.<\/li>\n
        2. Program is sent to the ILTS Education Committee for review and a recommendation is made to the ILTS Council to approve or deny the program.\u00a0 Should program be a \u201csponsored\u201d program, the ILTS Education Committee will review financial requests and provide program recommendations to ILTS Council to review prior to final approval.<\/li>\n
        3. ILTS Secretary approves or denies announcement and endorsement.
          \nILTS Council approves or denies endorsement or sponsorship.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
