{"id":18792,"date":"2022-03-14T09:45:38","date_gmt":"2022-03-14T08:45:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ilts.org\/?page_id=18792"},"modified":"2025-01-22T15:59:38","modified_gmt":"2025-01-22T14:59:38","slug":"advancing-equity","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/old.ilts.org\/about\/awards\/advancing-equity\/","title":{"rendered":"Advancing Equity in Liver Transplantation Award"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">(Mid- or Senior Career)<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>The Advancing Equity in Liver Transplantation Award recognizes ILTS members for their outstanding contributions to increase equity and reduce discrimination in the field of liver transplantation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Applications are reviewed annually by the ILTS Equity, Diversity &amp; Inclusion (EDI) Committee, with consideration given to the ILTS goals of promoting diverse regional and specialization representation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">&nbsp;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Eligibility<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Candidate must be of mid- or senior-career status<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Nominations must be submitted through the ILTS website<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>At least one nomination from another ILTS member is required to apply<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Both nominator and candidate must be ILTS members in good standing<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Once nominated, candidates must upload their application online through a link provided by the ILTS Secretariat<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Winners of the ILTS Society Awards (not based on abstracts) from the previous three years are not eligible<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Vice-chairs and chairs of the Equity, Diversity &amp; Inclusion (EDI) Committee are not eligible during their term of office<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Application formatting<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The completed application must include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>a standardized CV including the main contributions relevant for the award: eg, publications, professional society involvement, community projects involvement<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>a candidate statement, reflecting previous contributions to increase equity and reduce discrimination in liver transplantation, including EDI-related mentorship<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Awardee receives<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Complimentary registration to the ILTS Annual Congress of the year<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Complimentary ticket to the Closing Reception of the ILTS Annual Congress of the year<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Selection Process<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>HOW? <\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Online nominations &amp; applications<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>WHEN?<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Step 1: Nominations can be submitted today to <strong>February 28, 2025.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Step 2: Application window closes <strong>February 28, 2025.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Announcement of winners: TBD<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>WHERE?<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>You are in the right place!
